School visits

Manchester Orthotics are able to provide orthotic services within Schools. All our orthotists are HCPC registered and have up to date enhanced CRB checks. Manchester Orthotics have vast experience with working with children in the school environment.

It can often be more suitable to assess a child in their school surroundings as this is where the child spends a large portion of their time. It can be useful for the orthotist to see the child using their specific standers, walkers and seating equipment during assessments.

At Manchester Orthotics we encourage multidisciplinary working whenever is possible. Visiting students for orthotic treatment in their school is often a good opportunity to do this. By bringing the school staff, therapists, orthotists and parents together we can achieve the best outcome for the child.

All our orthotists have mobile equipment so no matter which orthotic is required we can provide comprehensive assessments, fittings and reviews in schools.
