Night splints

Night splints and Resting splints are a type of orthotic device however which some people wear at night during sleep and others when resting while awake. The splints normal encompass the foot and ankle however some of these splint can also influence the knee if required. The splints can be off the shelf or custom made devices. They are normal used to:

  • Provide a stretch to the calf muscle
  • Provide a stretch to the Planatarfasica
  • Offload the heel
  • Increase muscle length
  • Reduce muscle spasms
  • Help reduce deformity
  • Post Surgery
