Upper limb orthotics

At Manchester Orthotics we offer a wide range of orthoses for conditions and injuries affecting your upper limbs. This includes bespoke devices as well as stock orthoses, our experienced orthotists will complete a full assessment to establish which will be suitable for your needs.

Finger and thumb orthoses

Whether you have had an injury, surgery or have a long standing condition affecting your fingers and/or thumb we have a wide range of solutions available which can provide immobilisation of a joint, general support, assist muscle weakness or a prolonged stretch to relieve spasticity.

Hand and wrist orthoses

We are able to provide a range of dynamic and static hand and wrist orthoses which can help improve function or can help to prevent/control contractures.

Elbow orthoses

Conditions affecting the elbow are very common and can often be relieved with the use of an orthoses. We provide a variety of styles including bands and sleeves for some soft tissue injuries and conditions. We also provide a range of rigid braces which help to control the range of motion available to the elbow therefore allowing the healing of an injury or surgical procedure to take place.

Shoulder orthoses

We provide a range of different orthoses which can provide support whether you have sustain an injury such as a dislocation or subluxation or have a condition which affects your shoulder joint.
